Pat wrote this play because she was intrigued with how beliefs
and attitudes appropriate to her Grandmother’s generation
were passed on to her mother and then, consciously or not,
passed to her. And the more she thought about this, the more
outraged she became that outdated shameful behaviors continue
to be embraced and allowed to endure because they’re not
called out.
THE HAPPIER TRAIL is her effort to add her voice to this
conversation.
